Oval hoops are notorious.. for their "individuality" shall we say? Hoop manufacturers interpret the "mathematical ellipse" according to their whim. And then, does your hoop have the screw at the pointy END or the wide SIDE?
This frame is designed to fit an oval hoop that measures 5 1/8" x 8 3/16", measuring from the outer edges of the outer hoop. It will accommodate either an End screw or a Side screw.
