Learn more about how we rank pattern difficulty
We firmly believe that anyone can cross stitch with patience and perseverance, but sometimes it helps to understand how time-consuming or challenging a pattern will be to create. Here's how we rate the difficulty of our patterns:
Beginner, 1/5 - Appropriate for a true beginner, simple stitches and fewer colors.
Advanced Beginner, 2/5 - Achievable for beginners who are willing to learn a new skill, may include more types of stitches or fun details that you haven't tried before.
Intermediate, 3/5 - More details, types of stitches and larger patterns.
Advanced, 4/5 - Still achievable, but patterns will include more details, colors and types of stitches maybe unfamiliar to beginners. These will take longer to create due to their complexities and added textures.
Challenging, 5/5 - Complex projects that are craft heavy in detail, texture and color. Still achievable, but prepare to spend a long time making these.
Cute design! My one small critique is the pattern's grid adds in extra lines to simulate waste canvas. Unfortunately for me it makes it extra hard to parse and gives me a fair bit of eye strain because of the extra lines. Had to take a break after a few rows as I had a bad headache threatening. It'd be nice if maybe it came with a PDF that came without the extra lines and instead just had the standard cross stitch grid. (Plenty of those of us who sew on clothing use soluable rather than waste anyways...)

The pattern was easy to follow and turned out beautifully!
The love of slow crafts, nature and sass have inspired the business for over 8 years. We're constantly putting out new designs to entice makers to pick up a needle and join in the process of cross stitching.
