You've cross stitched onto aida & used waste canvas to stitch onto your clothes - and now you can cross stitch directly onto your knits! Introducing my newest collaboration with @emtothethird. The mitten pattern was designed by @emtothethird and the yarn is her botanically dyed base liminal. You can purchase kits directly from Mckenzie.
I designed the cross stitch pattern and we're working on a little video tutorial to help walk you through the cross stitching part.
The tapestry wool is DMC brand & can be used in any fun combination of colors. It's also a great scrap busting project if you want to use what you have! You'll need approximately 4 yards of red, yellow and blue, and 12 yards of green. As you switch colors to use your stash, yardage may vary.
The PDF includes instructions for knitting the mitten as well as embellishing with the cross stitch pattern.

Learn more about how we rank pattern difficulty
We firmly believe that anyone can cross stitch with patience and perseverance, but sometimes it helps to understand how time-consuming or challenging a pattern will be to create. Here's how we rate the difficulty of our patterns:
Beginner, 1/5 - Appropriate for a true beginner, simple stitches and fewer colors.
Advanced Beginner, 2/5 - Achievable for beginners who are willing to learn a new skill, may include more types of stitches or fun details that you haven't tried before.
Intermediate, 3/5 - More details, types of stitches and larger patterns.
Advanced, 4/5 - Still achievable, but patterns will include more details, colors and types of stitches maybe unfamiliar to beginners. These will take longer to create due to their complexities and added textures.
Challenging, 5/5 - Complex projects that are craft heavy in detail, texture and color. Still achievable, but prepare to spend a long time making these.
